    Blizzard teases new mount
    on WoW Insider on Jan. 28, 2015, 6 p.m.

It's a cat. It's very purple. It kind of gives me a Netherstorm vibe. Blizzard just teased this new mount on the official @Warcraft Twitter account without much of a hint.

My initial thought was it would be another store mount, but now I think another possibility is a Heroes of the Storm promotional mount. Remember the Hearthsteed mount from Hearthstone? Same thing, except ...

Around Azeroth: The monster in the well
    on WoW Insider on Jan. 28, 2015, 3 p.m.

Defender Illona and I were making our usual rounds in my garrison, and when we stopped to smell (and pick) the proverbial roses, one of the ever-present thorns paid us a visit," writes submitter Paladave of Clan Wilkes on Garona (US-A). "Having been denied its pound of flesh, the ankle-biter was not content to merely die and give up its flowery innards. No, these little monstrosities are content with nothing less than poisoning the wells."

Breakfast Topic: What do you do when you need a WoW break?
    on WoW Insider on Jan. 28, 2015, 2 p.m.

World of Warcraft has been running for over ten years now, which is a long time for any game. When we're talking time-spans like that, sometimes you're just going to find you need a break. This doesn't necessarily mean you're leaving for good, but sometimes you just need to shake up your gaming routine and take a break from the daily grind of WoW to avoid burning out entirely. For my part, I took a fairly ...

Patch 6.1: The latest on Draenor fishing
on WoW Insider on Jan. 28, 2015, midnight

Patch 6.1 is on the horizon and if the patch notes are any indication, there are a lot of changes coming our way. Fishing, in particular, is slotted to get a lot of tweaks -- and there have already been some changes to the changes announced in the last patch notes. With the latest changes, fishing throughout Draenor will be streamlined for everyone... though it will still take up an awful lot of inventory space, so be sure to clear ...

WoW Moviewatch: The Story & History of The Furbolgs
    on WoW Insider on Jan. 27, 2015, 10 p.m.

Warcraft goes beyond just World of Warcraft, and nowhere is that more obvious than in the game's lore. Sure, you can find out plenty by questing your way through WoW, but there's a lot you won't find without delving into the older RTS games, the novels, or even more obscure sources.

That's what makes Bellular's lore videos so great: they pull together lore from all sorts of sources to tell you new things about in-game ...

Around Azeroth: Which of us is the evil twin again?
    on WoW Insider on Jan. 27, 2015, 3 p.m.

Today's submitter writes, "My gnomish warrior Pie was perusing the various transmog gear vendors when suddenly a strange sensation came over her ... a chill that crawled up her spine like a malfunctioning clockwork gnome hopped up on too much Deeprock Salt. Cautiously she turned around, expecting trouble, and instead she found a tiny death knight, comparing the fluffiness their pigtails. Naturally, Pie won."

Breakfast Topic: How much farming is too much farming?
    on WoW Insider on Jan. 27, 2015, 2 p.m.

There's no MMO -- or game in general, really -- that doesn't have some grinding built in. After all, you need some reason to keep logging in after you've run out of quest rewards and dungeons to clear. But sometimes the grind you go through for achievements and collectables is just too much. So when do you decide that it's time to throw in the towel on your own grinds?

Right now, I'm working on safari achievements ...

    WoW Moviewatch: ROFLMAO!
on WoW Insider on Jan. 27, 2015, midnight

Monday is upon us once again, and since we're all in need of some workweek cheer, we dug into the Moviewatch archives to find this classic from Oxhorn. Sure, this 2007 machinima looks a bit dated, especially when compared with the new models that rolled out in Warlords of Draenor, but it's still darned funny. (Much like the even older Muppet Show skit this machinima is parodying.)

Go on, we dare you not to laugh. Happy Monday, everyone ...

Patch 6.1: Shrink your bodyguard down to size
    on WoW Insider on Jan. 26, 2015, 10:30 p.m.

Thank the Light. If there's one thing that keeps me from using my bodyguards, it's how they get in the way of literally everything I want to click. The problem is even worse if you play a pet class because your bodyguard tends to stay right behind you instead of to your side.

While exploring my garrison on the patch 6.1 PTR, I was happy to find a vendor in my Barracks that sold me a Bodyguard ...

Patch 6.1: Traveling the world in search of garrison music
    on WoW Insider on Jan. 26, 2015, 8:30 p.m.

The jukebox is one of the biggest new garrison features coming in patch 6.1. It allows you to change the default music in your garrison, which is a welcome feature considering how much time I spend in there. Upon completing the simple quest to build your jukebox, you are given a selection of 7 faction-specific music tracks (known as Music Rolls) to get you started. It's a simple as clicking your jukebox and picking a new track as ...

Around Azeroth: I just wanna fly
    on WoW Insider on Jan. 26, 2015, 3 p.m.

"All other ogron make fun of Thunk at Broken Precipice," submitter Kashume of Legends of Poker on Staghelm (US-A) translates from the original series of thumping noises that constitutes the ogron language. "They said, 'Silly Thunk, you no can fly. Ogron no have wings.' Thunk know better. Thunk up in clouds where he belongs with windrocs. Now only thing Thunk not figured out; how to get down?"

    WoW Moviewatch: Like Froot
    on WoW Insider on Jan. 25, 2015, 11 p.m.

Look, I'm going to be perfectly honest here: I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this machinima. I'm not sure if it's telling a story or not, or what that story happens to be. But Like Froot, the latest music video from Youtuber Killercookie, still manages to be hypnotically entertaining, story or no. The bright visuals mix well with the song, which I've never heard before -- but it's now thoroughly stuck in ...

I honestly didn't know how much I needed this particular item until I finally managed to snag one on the PTR. Behold, patch 6.1 is bringing us the S.E.L.F.I.E. The camera is a reward from a new, rare level 100 garrison mission called Field Photography -- a four hour mission ...

Breakfast Topic: Do you stack traits on missions?
    on WoW Insider on Jan. 25, 2015, 3 p.m.

I have a method for follower missions, one that seems to have worked out mostly in my favor -- during the day, I'll complete as many of the shorter missions as I can, logging in to cycle through them once or twice. Before I turn in for the night, I'll queue up all the longer missions, because I know they'll be waiting for me at whatever point I log on the next day. Sometimes, though, I get impatient ...
